Upcoming Event: Don Yenko's Muscle Cars at the Museum

If you love classic cars as much as we do, the name Yenko should certainly ring a bell. Back in 1957, a Chevy dealership in Pennsylvania developed an in-house performance shop with famed racecar driver Don Yenko at the helm. Yenko and his crew went on to build many legendary high-performance vehicles, including the iconic 1969 Yenko/SC Camaro pictured above. To honor and commemorate this legacy, Charity Motor Club has put together a unique event on Saturday, July 30th, 2022 at the Saratoga Auto Museum in Saratoga Springs, New York. Classic Industries is proud to sponsor this upcoming event.

We love assisting classic car owners with their restoration projects, whether they're individuals just starting their first projects or well-known shops with experience working on thousands of builds. We have also been fortunate to work with several major automotive magazines over the years. The latest in that category is the 900-horsepower 1969 Camaro restomod seen here. It was built by the team at Super Chevy magazine with parts from Classic Industries, POL, and many other sponsors.

So, today we'll go through some of the steps to replace the headliner on your third-gen 1982-92 Camaro or Firebird/Trans Am.

Video: How Did Classic Industries Begin?

"This company was founded on the idea of bringing parts to people... it turned into something way larger than I ever expected." In a video interview with Kevin Cuenca, Classic Industries founder and CEO Jeff Leonard shed some light on the origin story of the company. It all started in 1976, when Jeff was looking for replacement carpet for his own Camaro RS. He didn't know back then that more than 45 years later, the company would be helping classic car fans around the world find parts for their Chevrolet, Pontiac, Dodge, Plymouth, Buick, and Ford restoration projects.

Dodge Interior Restoration: Mopar Connection's 1969 Super Bee Rallye Dash Project

When it comes to classic car restoration, it's no surprise that most owners place a strong focus on exterior paint and body work, as well as mechanical components such as the engine, transmission, suspension, and brakes. These elements define how a car looks on the outside, and how it performs on the road. But think about this: where do you, the owner, spend most of your time? Behind the wheel, of course. For this reason, it's certainly worthwhile to pay attention to the interior, as Mopar Connection magazine did with their recent Dodge interior restoration project.
