This week's barn find video is yet another American muscle car that the vehicle's current caretaker found in Oklahoma. Is there a trend here? A gentleman with the first name of Jeff has a passion for 1969 Camaro Z28's and also a growing collection of them. The owner found the car a couple years ago in a barn just resting away. He only had to replace a few items to get the Camaro running the way a 1969 Z28 should. Jeff replaced the varnished fuel tank with a new tank. He also renewed the master cylinder.

If you drive your second generation 1978-81 Chevrolet Camaro a fair amount, there’s a great chance that other motorists are going to be staring at your muscle car’s tail end quite a bit. Should your baby be a strong runner, other drivers will have a hard time keeping pace. As far as we're concerned, every model year of the Camaro is a great one, but certain years are especially beloved by the car enthusiast community for their groundbreaking style and legacy. 1970 was one such year, since it marked the beginning of the second generation of this iconic vehicle. The previous three years had set a high bar for success, but GM still produced a car that lived up to the expectations. Even today, you don't have to be an automotive expert to see this beautifully-restored '70 Z28 and know it's something special.

For a car enthusiast, there's no worse feeling than having your car stolen. In an instant, the vehicle you put so much time and effort into is gone, and you're left empty-handed. This is exactly what happened to Ismael Castillo, the owner of this 1991 Camaro Z28, on New Year's Eve last year. After spending the evening with his friends celebrating, he went outside to find his Camaro was missing. It was recovered by police a few days later, but by then it had been stripped of many of its parts and abandoned. Fortunately, Ismael refused to give up on his project, so he began rebuilding it.

For those of us who grew up in the sixties and seventies, Chevy's Camaro has been the ever constant familiar face in a frequently changing automotive climate. We've ridden the tides of change, from hot factory high-performance cars in the 1960s, to the decidedly lame Detroit iron of the 1970s. It was a long dry spell before the lords of Woodward Avenue and Van Nuys Boulevard would get back to the business of burning rubber from traffic light to traffic light in the mid-1980s.
