There’s something special about your first truck — especially when it’s still part of your life years later. For Nicholas Prior of Holly, Michigan, that bond runs deep with his 1985 Chevrolet K10, a truck that’s been through high school hauls, late-night drives, and countless wrench-turning weekends.
A Heartbeat of American Power
Under the hood, Nicholas’s K10 roars with a 454 big block — swapped in and built for serious muscle. Inside the engine bay, you’ll find forged flat-top pistons, an Isky MegaCam, Edelbrock Performer intake, and a 750 Double Pumper carb, feeding power through long-tube headers and a full three-inch exhaust. This setup delivers the unmistakable rumble and raw torque that make every drive unforgettable.
And Nicholas isn’t stopping there. “Soon it will be repainted, as well as a blower and some other goodies,” he says — proof that true enthusiasts are never really finished.
Standing Tall and Shining Bright
This K10 doesn’t just perform — it stands tall with a six-inch lift and gleams with classic chrome and billet accents. A Billet grill, chrome headlight buckets, and a sport rear bumper give it that perfect mix of classic Chevy toughness and show-ready shine.
A Cabin Built for Comfort and Character

Inside, Nicholas has completely refurbished the upholstery and trim, adding a Forever Sharp steering wheel and a touch of nostalgia with a Cobra 29 Dale Earnhardt Edition CB radio. The Auto Meter Pro Comp II 11K tach rounds out the cockpit — a blend of old-school cool and modern precision.
The Journey Continues
What began as a teenager’s first ride has evolved into a lifelong project — a rolling piece of personal history that’s only getting better with time. Nicholas’s K10 embodies what the Classic Industries community is all about: preserving heritage, building memories, and keeping classic trucks alive for generations to come.
