California Mustang is Now Part of Classic Industries!

If you were at the latest Fabulous Fords Forever car show at Knott’s Berry Farm, or saw our Facebook live coverage of the California Mustang Meet-Up last weekend, you may have wondered about the presence of Classic Industries at these events. You’re probably saying to yourself: “They only sell GM and Mopar parts, right? What are they doing here?”

Well, if we seemed out of place, take another look—we’re exactly where we’re supposed to be, because Classic Industries has just recently purchased the California Mustang group, which consists of: California Mustang Parts, California Muscle Parts, and Highway Classics.

1991 Camaro Convertible - LS1 Third-Gen

When starting a new classic car project, there are a number of choices to make. Some owners choose to restore every nut and bolt to factory spec, ending up with a vehicle that looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor. Jeromey Campbell, of Huntington Beach, California, was looking for something more distinctive when he started work on this 1991 Camaro Z28 convertible.

1968 Barracuda Formula S - Gold Fish

Every journey into classic car restoration has to start somewhere, whether that's diving in head-first with a basket-case wreck from a junkyard, or starting gradually by putting a few finishing touches on a partially-completed project. For Gilbert Villegas, of Anaheim, California, this 1968 Barracuda Formula S represented the beginning of a love for working on classic cars.

2011 Camaro Convertible - Modified 5th-Gen

Whether it's a 1967 or a 2016, we love Camaro models of every model year and generation. So, when we saw this tastefully modified 2011 Camaro convertible pull into our Showroom parking lot, we wanted to get a closer look. It turns out that the owners of this car—Claude and Gayle Lynn, of Rapid City, South Dakota—have driven it over 1,300 miles to end up here in southern California.

1969 Camaro Convertible - Complete Restoration

Seeing a beautifully-restored classic Camaro always makes us smile, because we know that it took a lot of hard work to get it looking brand new again. That's certainly the case with Jay Arter's white 1969 Camaro convertible, seen here. Jay has owned the car for 23 years, and to say it was rough when he bought it would be an understatement.

1969 Camaro Convertible - Drop-Top Cruisin'

This stunning 1969 Camaro convertible rolled up to our Retail Showroom, and its cool blue paint caught our attention immediately, sparkling in the California sun. So, we walked out to chat with the owner, Monte Greenspan, of Anaheim, California. Monte was happy to show us the car, and tell us a little more about its story.

1968 Firebird - Drop-Top Perfection

There seems to be a bit of a stigma about owning a convertible these days -- some people just don't consider them to be as cool as a hardtop coupe. However, we'd like to take a moment to defend the merits of the convertible. There's really nothing quite like putting the top down on a beautiful day, feeling the wind in your hair, and hearing the burble of the exhaust behind you as you blast down the highway. It's a visceral experience, and something that everyone should try. And there are few better places to own a classic convertible than sunny southern California.
