If you drive your second generation 1978-81 Chevrolet Camaro a fair amount, there’s a great chance that other motorists are going to be staring at your muscle car’s tail end quite a bit. Should your baby be a strong runner, other drivers will have a hard time keeping pace. They’ll be admiring that terrific styling and engineering that went into creating the entire vehicle but especially the tail.

There's no better way to spend a beautiful summer day than cruising over to a local car show. You can see a variety of classic cars, chat with their owners, and even keep an eye out for parts you might need for your own vehicle. However, some shows are truly special and bring out legendary classics that are rarely seen elsewhere. Such was the case for Don Yenko's Muscle Cars at the Museum, an event that took place on Saturday, July 30th, 2022 in Saratoga Springs, New York. Classic Industries attended the show, and our staff walked around to snap photos of some of the most noteworthy Chevrolet vehicles.

If you love classic cars as much as we do, the name Yenko should certainly ring a bell. Back in 1957, a Chevy dealership in Pennsylvania developed an in-house performance shop with famed racecar driver Don Yenko at the helm. Yenko and his crew went on to build many legendary high-performance vehicles, including the iconic 1969 Yenko/SC Camaro pictured above. To honor and commemorate this legacy, Charity Motor Club has put together a unique event on Saturday, July 30th, 2022 at the Saratoga Auto Museum in Saratoga Springs, New York. Think back to when you were in high school. What was the car you always wanted? For many of us, the answer was simple: a Camaro. There's a lot to love about the timeless 1969 Camaro, but we can't deny that some aspects of automotive technology have come a long way since the late '60s. Instrument cluster gauges are a good example, and that's why many classic car owners replace these components with aftermarket parts. Ron Ceridono of All Chevy Performance magazine writes, "Most factory gauges didn’t react very quickly or have meaningful numbers, making them only slightly better than warning lights." One nice thing about owning a first-generation 1967-1969 Camaro is the wide array of replacement parts available. You can buy original-style reproduction parts to restore your car to showroom condition, install a few subtle upgrades to modernize it slightly, or build a wild pro-touring car with the latest and greatest components. Today, we'll take a look at one easy upgrade that presents a few different choices: Camaro tail lights. First, we'll explain some of the replacement parts that are available, and then we'll show you how to install your new tail lights.

One of the important finishing touches to any classic car restoration project is installation of exterior emblems. Just like the cherry on a sundae, they add a bright visual element that makes everything else look even more appealing. However, getting these exterior emblems just right can be tricky. It's easy to misalign or misplace an emblem if you're eyeballing it. That's why Classic Industries offers convenient paper templates that match our emblems. For many classic car enthusiasts, vehicles are more than mere objects. Automotive technology has changed a lot since the release of the Camaro, and headlights (a.k.a. headlamps) are a prime example. Through most of the '70s, American cars still featured incandescent sealed-beam lights. When these lights burned out, the entire unit had to be replaced, rather than simply inserting a new bulb into a reusable housing. Thankfully, several newer types of headlight were developed in the following decades, including halogen, HID, and LED.
