California Mustang is Now Part of Classic Industries!

If you were at the latest Fabulous Fords Forever car show at Knott’s Berry Farm, or saw our Facebook live coverage of the California Mustang Meet-Up last weekend, you may have wondered about the presence of Classic Industries at these events. You’re probably saying to yourself: “They only sell GM and Mopar parts, right? What are they doing here?”

Well, if we seemed out of place, take another look—we’re exactly where we’re supposed to be, because Classic Industries has just recently purchased the California Mustang group, which consists of: California Mustang Parts, California Muscle Parts, and Highway Classics.

To many vehicle buyers, trucks are designed for utility. They're used to tow trailers, haul heavy loads, and traverse rough trails. As a result, they often get dented, scratched, used up and disposed of at the end of their service lives. This is why it's exciting to see a classic pickup truck in beautiful condition, especially when it has been kept that way by the same owner for several decades.

However, every so often, something comes along that leaves us simply awestruck. Just when you think you've seen it all, something like this 1947 GMC COE pickup pulls into the parking lot.

1969 Camaro Convertible - Complete Restoration

Seeing a beautifully-restored classic Camaro always makes us smile, because we know that it took a lot of hard work to get it looking brand new again. That's certainly the case with Jay Arter's white 1969 Camaro convertible, seen here. Jay has owned the car for 23 years, and to say it was rough when he bought it would be an understatement.

1956 Bel Air Restoration - From the Ground Up

Here at Classic Industries, we love to see what customers can do with the restoration parts we offer. Sometimes, they simply put the finishing touches on project vehicles that are nearly complete—other times, they rebuild classic cars from the ground up using parts from our catalogs. Daniel Brito, of Montebello, California, falls into the second category. His stunning 1956 Bel Air started out as a $500 husk of its former glory, but he restored the car over the last 15 years, leaving it in the beautiful condition seen here.

1986 Pontiac Trans Am - Third Gen Restoration

We're always glad to see the third-gen F-body cars getting the appreciation they deserve. Ten or fifteen years ago, few people would have considered the 1982-92 Firebirds and Trans Ams candidates for restoration, but now that these cars are becoming more collectible, the prices for clean examples are on the rise. This white 1986 Trans Am is one of the cleanest we've seen, and shows how much these cars stand out in 2015.

'85 Chevy C10 - Slick Square Body

Up through the 1960s, GM trucks were famous for their smooth sculpted lines and aerodynamic curves. Even though the 1967-72 models were a slight departure from the curvy styling with their beveled beltline, the C10 trucks still retained their sleek look into the early seventies. Then, in 1973, everything changed with the introduction of what soon became known as the "square body".

Over the course of the last decade, southern California has become what some might call "the land of the Prius". The region's beach cities, suburbs, and sprawling freeway traffic jams are always packed with tiny hybrid economy cars. As lovers of the V8 and classic American muscle, we sometimes feel a little rebellious roaring past the slow-moving hatchbacks, but we recently met someone who takes this counter-cultural spirit to a whole new level. Enter Donnille Leubner and his massive Chevy C3500 dually. If owning the road sounds appealing, this is the rig for you.
