Lately we've been noticing a trend: although the luxurious Chevy Bel Air continues to be ever-popular, the blue-collar 150 and 210 iterations of the Tri-Five are starting to get more attention. These budget-friendly models were once ignored in favor of chrome-clad 1955-57 Bel Air models, and many of them were even converted to look like Bel Airs. Now, however, we appear to have come full circle—and we're seeing more restored 150s and 210s as a result.

The 2014 SEMA Show in Las Vegas was packed to the gills with cool custom cars of every size, shape, make and model. Whether you like timeless classic cruisers, resto-modded street machines, purpose-built drag racers, modern muscle, trucks, or even motorcycles, the show has some of virtually everything. So, we walked the show and snapped photos of some of our favorite cars to share with you.

1955-57 "Tri-Five" Chevys were especially popular this year, with a wide variety of different models on display. However, there were some that stood out more than others. So, without further ado, here are our Top 5 Chevy Tri-Fives of this year's SEMA Show.

The Classic Industries team has been at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas all week, walking through the aisles and looking for the coolest cars and trucks to share with you. Today, we came upon this absolutely jaw-dropping 1956 Chevy 210, and knew we had to snap some photos. Its shocking orange paint and glistening chrome sparkled like a beacon in the Nevada sunlight, drawing us in to get a closer look.

Think of a car that represents American car culture, or even automotive culture in general, and you'll be hard-pressed to find one more iconic than the '57 Chevy Bel Air. From the aircraft-inspired hood ornaments, to the sweeping wheel arches, to the raked tail fins, every element of this car's design is eye-catching and memorable. There really is no angle from which the Bel Air doesn't look good, and that's a claim few cars have lived up to since. In fact, this car has been around for over half a century, but it still remains relevant and undeniably cool.

Although there's nothing wrong with leaving your restoration project in the hands of qualified professionals at a trusted shop, there's something truly special about doing all the labor yourself. After countless hours of turning wrenches, and many late nights in the garage, you end up having personal knowledge of every last nut and bolt on your car.

This was the case for Larry Richards, of Seal Beach, California, who recently stopped by the Classic Industries showroom with his 1956 Chevy Bel Air. Larry restored this classic Chevy himself over the last five years, with some assistance from his friends on occasion. It features a 383ci stroker small-block V8 paired with a 700R4 automatic transmission. Disc brakes are visible through the windows of its chrome American Racing five-spoke wheels. We appreciate its vintage green and white two-tone paint, and abundance of intricately polished chrome accents.

Jerry's '57 Chevy Bel Air Hardtop Sport Coupe

Classic Industries' Southern California customer, Jerry Jacobs, pulled into the parking lot with his glamorous '57 Chevy Bel Air. This 2-door hardtop sport coupe is a daily driver for Jerry, but looks like it should be pampered at a local car show. He's the second owner for the last 25 years and this Larkspur Blue/Imperial Ivory combination quickly transports us back in time.

Resto-Mod Project Collection Displayed Together for the First Time

The 2013 Grand National Roadster Show in Pomona, CA was host to the first public display of the entire Classic Industries resto-mod collection. The event was the latest celebration of Classic Industries 35^th anniversary. The most recent project, a supercharged 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air roadster dubbed OPEN AIR, was the centerpiece of the display, with previous builds from the series standing as reminders of what an enthusiast can do with the right catalog.
