As kids, most of us grew up dreaming about owning cool cars — the kind that showed up on posters, magazine covers, TV shows, and movies. Unfortunately, the contents of our piggybanks didn't align with those lofty dreams. But as adults, a lucky few of us are able to save up enough money to buy those cars we always wanted. This was exactly the story for comedian Gabriel "Fluffy" Iglesias, who always dreamed of owning an early-'90s Ford Mustang GT and was recently able to buy this pristine Fox Body with less than 500 miles on the odometer.
Fluffy's Brand New Fox Body Mustang
Jay Leno got together with Iglesias to take a closer look at this time capsule from the '90s. Specifically, it's a 1993 Mustang GT convertible with teal and grey two-tone paint, black leather interior, A/C, power windows and locks, and a 5.0L V8 with 5-speed manual transmission.

The coolest part of this '93 Mustang is the number on its odometer: 468 miles. Iglesias told Leno, "It is a new car. It's me going back in time and buying one of the cars that I always wanted."
Aside from replacing the worn-out battery, installing a fresh set of tires, and adding an upgraded stereo system, Iglesias is happy to preserve this Mustang exactly as it is.
Leno complimented the interior of this era of Mustang, stating that it feels more upscale and European than some of the other American cars of the '80s and '90s. We agree that the black leather upholstery looks elegant alongside the black door panels and dash pad.
Iglesias said he didn't mind whether his Fox Body was a manual or automatic, but he does appreciate that the 5-speed preserves more of the power from the 5.0 V8. It only made 205 horsepower, which sounds like nothing by today's standards, but it was respectable back in '93.
Iglesias also admits he isn't the biggest fan of convertibles, but he certainly couldn't pass up a Mustang GT that was this immaculate. He paid a lot more than the car's original $21,000 MSRP, but not too far off that number adjusted for inflation.
