Over the last few decades, we've seen a lot of modified classic Ford Broncos, but this might be the wildest one we've ever seen. With a monstrous 1,000-horsepower Coyote V8, 37-inch tires, a stretched body with reverse-hinged rear doors, and seating for six passengers, this Bronco is truly one of a kind. Autotopia LA filmed it for a recent episode and interviewed the owner, who said with a laugh, "nothing is stock about this."
A Four-Door Bronco Ahead of Its Time

In 2021, Ford released the modern sixth-generation Bronco with two and four-door (or three and five-door, if you count the tailgate) body styles — a first for this vehicle. However, David Pages wanted to build a classic first-gen Ford Bronco with four doors and room for the whole family. This would be no easy task.

Pages explained to Autotopia LA that he bought two Bronco donor vehicles and then had a custom chassis fabricated to join the two into a single stretched body. While it would've been easier to use existing door latches and hinges to create traditional rear doors, the decision was made to draw inspiration from a Lincoln Continental and fabricate reverse-hinged "suicide" doors for the rear passengers.

Watching the doors open down the middle creates an unforgettable look and shows exactly how spacious the interior is. The body panels were painted in a distinctive bright blue color from a Mercedes G Class SUV.

The truck rides on gold 20-inch 9and3 beadlock wheels with 37-inch BFGoodrich all-terrain tires. It also has Wilwood big brakes, Currie axles, and huge King coilover shocks to keep it under control.

Control is the key word when you're making as much power as this Bronco does. The Nelson Race Engines supercharged Coyote V8 under the hood is capable of more than 1,000 horsepower, but Pages said he "toned it down a little" to only 680hp at the rear wheels. That's more than enough to move this heavy truck at blistering speeds.

The Bronco's interior is just as heavily modified as the exterior. Contrasting tan leather was applied to the TMI seats, door panels, and dash, while the floor was wrapped in luxurious tan carpet. A Nardi wood steering wheel gives it an old-school feel, but Dakota Digital gauges and a powerful stereo system balance it with modern conveniences.

The spacious stretched interior offers seating for six passengers with plenty of leg room. Rear passengers even get their own cupholders. A cargo area behind the third row is accessible via an original-style tailgate and a swing-out spare tire carrier.

Pages' Ford Bronco is definitely a departure from the short-wheelbase two-door configuration of the first-gen Bronco, but it's cool to see as an example of a no-holds-barred approach to restomodding. We can only imagine the reaction this must get rolling into car shows with six people onboard.
