Every year at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas, automotive brands and builders collaborate to show off their latest projects, ranging from classic hot rods to modern exotics. At the 2026 SEMA Show this week, Meguiar's unveiled this 1956 Ford F-100 in its main booth. It's known as the Fat Fender Garage GT/FX and it's said to be the byproduct of 15,000 hours of labor over the course of five years. It features a high-performance coilover chassis, 800-horsepower supercharged Coyote V8, heavily-modified all-steel body, and an impressive custom interior.

About the Fat Fender Garage GT/FX Build

According to Fat Fender Garage, the goal of this project was to blend the spirit of the Ford GT with a classic Ford F-100 pickup. The result is an extremely aggressive street truck that holds nothing back when it comes to performance. However, its all-steel body retains the timeless curves that made truck enthusiasts love it back in the 1950s.

The body was sectioned and two inches were removed from the middle to create a lower overall height. The roof and hood were also chopped and flattened, while the fenders and bedsides were widened. At the back, it features a diffuser panel from the Mustang GT350 and aggressive dual exhaust tips.
To maintain some of the truck's classic essence, an original-style F-100 grille was used, complete with its iconic V8 emblem.

Opening the hood reveals elegant steel finishing panels surrounding the heart of this beast: a 5.0L Gen 3 Coyote V8 topped with a 3.0L Whipple supercharger. It's paired with a Ford 10R80 10-speed automatic and produces 800 horsepower and 750 lb-ft of torque.

The metallic gray paint is offset by black accents, including a distinctive split racing stripe that runs from the front of the hood to the base of the tailgate.

Underneath this truck is Fat Fender Garage's proprietary FF1 Performance Coilover Chassis with Wilwood big brakes, custom HRE wheels, and Toyo Proxes Sport 2 tires.

The Fat Fender team didn't overlook the interior — it looks just as modern and refined as the exterior. Black leather bucket seats, custom door panels, and a full-length center console with OEM-style shifter make this F-100 feel like a brand new vehicle.

The console also has a large touchscreen display and physical controls for the power windows and climate control system. The D-shaped billet steering wheel is mounted on a tilt steering column for easy ingress and egress.

Even the driver's side floor mat includes a black racing stripe to tie the interior theme into the exterior. While this truck build may be too aggressive for some classic Ford purists, we think Fat Fender Garage did a nice job balancing the sleek '56 F-100 curves with angular modern elements.
Believe it or not, this was only one of four classic Ford trucks Fat Fender Garage brought to the 2026 SEMA Show. You can read more about the other three over at Hemmings Motor News.
