We love classic cars, whether they're factory-style restorations, fuel-injected restomod muscle cars, or old-school customs. This gorgeous blue 1967 Impala SS falls into the third category—it's a cool throwback to a different time.
This '67 Impala belongs to Chris Rose, of Long Beach, California, and it's absolutely packed with style. You could call it a lowrider, but there are no chrome Daytons or flashy hydraulics to be found on this car. It's definitely modified, but in a subtle and vintage way.
The Impala has been beautifully restored, and altered with a few period-correct modifications. A lowered suspension and rear fender skirts provide an aggressive stance, and dual chrome exhaust pipes give the motor just the right amount of growl. Venetian blinds in the rear window add even more vintage lowrider style.
Inside the car, you'll find bucket seats with blue vinyl upholstery, as well as a raccoon tail on the steering column (a stylistic touch often seen on early custom cars, much like a predecessor to fuzzy dice). There's even a clear brodie knob on the steering wheel, with a white rose engraved inside it.
Under the hood, there's a 327ci V8 paired to a TH-350 automatic transmission. This combination provides more than enough power to get Chris where he needs to go—which is significant, since he tells us he drives this car at least 4 days each week.
